Ozone has been used for some time in home and public aquaria, to aid skimmer efficiency and control harmful pathogens. Ozone though, is a potentially risky substance and needs to be ‘dosed’ with care to ensure you and your tank inhabitants are safe and not adversely affected.

To make life easier and safer Red Sea has introduced two new AquaZone Plus units. The standard AquaZone Plus unit is a combined ozonizer and programmable redox controller with LCD display and glass reaction chamber which “eliminates the risk of corrosion through humidity” according to Red Sea. The Deluxe model offers the same main unit, but with a redox electrode. Both include a rechargeable air drier.

The units are available in 100mg and 200mg sizes and have an mrrp of £325 - £450.
