The Deep in Hull is pleased to see the Olympic Torch, as they say:

"The Olympic Torch comes to Hull on the 18th beginning its procession at The Deep. As a lasting legacy of this momentous occasion this leading attraction is launching a new visitor exhibition - torch coral! The Deep's very own living torch, the Euphyllia torch coral, is an amazing species that has long flowing tentacles that are torch shaped, glowing like a flame at the tips. Like the famous flame, the torch coral glows day and night making a wonderful addition to the Deep's many attractions. The coral is on display as part of The Deep's magnificent underwater garden, encased in an impressive 4.5 metre-wide tank.”
